FAB Lab
The Tulsa FAB Lab serves as a translational research hub focused on understanding how family context, adversity, and behavior interact to shape health and development across the lifespan. The FAB Lab integrates behavioral science, developmental methods, and innovative data collection approaches to address complex questions at the intersection of substance use, mental health, and resilience.
Based in Tulsa, the lab conducts community-engaged research that emphasizes access, feasibility, and inclusion, particularly among populations historically underrepresented in research. This work includes longitudinal studies, intervention development, and implementation research designed to generate findings that are both scientifically rigorous and directly applicable to real-world settings.
The Tulsa FAB Study also functions as a training and mentorship environment, supporting students, staff, and early-career investigators in translational and team-based science. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and close ties to community partners, the lab advances evidence that informs practice while building sustainable research capacity.
