My leadership focuses on building teams, systems, and partnerships that turn complex science into sustained impact. I lead across disciplines, institutions, and communities to support rigorous research, meaningful collaboration, and real-world change.

Leadership Philosophy

I approach leadership as a form of stewardship—of people, resources, and ideas. My role is to create clarity in complex environments, support investigators and teams at different stages of development, and ensure that evidence guides decisions at every level.

I lead interdisciplinary teams spanning behavioral science, public health, neuroscience, and implementation research, with an emphasis on collaboration across academic, clinical, and community settings.

Building People & Capacity

A central focus of my leadership is developing research capacity. Through centers, labs, and programmatic initiatives, I support early- and mid-career investigators in building sustainable research programs, securing independent funding, and translating their work beyond academia.

Leading In Partnership

Much of my leadership occurs at the intersection of institutions and communities. I work closely with federal and state agencies, foundations, university partners, and community organizations to align research goals with real-world needs—particularly in rural and underserved contexts.

My leadership is grounded in the belief that rigorous science, when paired with strong teams and authentic partnerships, can change lives. I welcome opportunities to collaborate, mentor, and build systems that support lasting impact.
